AIR CONDITIONERS

Today's air conditioners are more comfortable and efficient then ever. Whatever size your home, whenever you need cool, comfortable, cleaner air, Trane is dedicated to providing the very best investment you can make in ensuring the comfort of you and your family.

And, when purchasing a central air conditioning system, check the SEER rating. The SEER, or Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio, rating. Like its "mpg" counterpart in the automotive industry, the SEER gives an indication of the performance efficiency of the system. The higher the SEER, the more efficient the unit. And, the more efficient the unit, the lower the operating costs.

FURNACES

All winter long, you depend on your furnace to meet the heating needs of your home and your family. That’s why Trane builds gas furnaces, electric furnaces and oil furnaces to perform again and again, year after year. Beyond performance, Trane also provides you with options for energy-efficient operation. In fact, Trane has some furnaces that operate at over 90% efficiency, which means that 90% of the fuel you pay for is actually converted into heat for your home.

EVAPORATOR COIL

If you have an air conditioner outside, then you may also have an indoor coil and furnace inside. You might say the coil is the other, less visible part of your system. While a coil may be a component that you're not very familiar with, it's just as important to your home's comfort as your air conditioner. And, because the coil was designed to work in tandem with your outdoor unit and furnace, it's important that they match in both size and capacity.

When you install a new Trane air conditioner, we can help you select the right TRANE Comfort™ Coil to go with it. Remember, your outdoor condensing unit and your indoor coil work together as a team—a new air conditioner's efficiency will be significantly reduced if it's paired with an old, existing coil. An older coil, or a non-Trane coil, may even differ in cooling capacity, leaving you with an unbalanced system and higher than necessary utility bills.
